⚠️ This is a draft, not a finalized legal document. It's structured to cover what India's IT Rules, 2021 require an intermediary to publish (a "rules and regulations, privacy policy, and user agreement"), and it accurately describes what LLM Connect actually does — but it hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer, and the bracketed fields (governing law city, company name, etc.) need filling in before this is your real agreement. Have it reviewed before relying on it.

Terms of Service

Draft — last updated August 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of LLM Connect (the "Service"). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must provide your true date of birth when registering. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must verifiably consent before your account can send messages, join meetings, or add contacts — see our Privacy Policy for how that works. We may refuse or terminate service to anyone who provides false eligibility information.

2. Your account

3. Content you share

You retain ownership of the messages, files, and other content you send through LLM Connect. By sending content through the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, transmit, process, and display that content solely as needed to operate the Service (for example, delivering your message to the people you sent it to, and showing it back to you). We don't claim ownership of your content, and we don't use it for anything beyond providing the Service — LLM Connect has no advertising and does not train any model on your content.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use LLM Connect to host, share, upload, or transmit any content that:

You also agree not to: probe, scan, or attempt to bypass the security of the Service; use automated means to access or scrape the Service without our written permission; interfere with other users' ability to use the Service; or use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable law.

Our full moderation categories are listed in the Acceptable Use Policy and Community Guidelines.

5. Messaging, calls, and meetings

Messages and files you send are encrypted at rest on our servers using a key we hold — this protects your data against unauthorized access to our infrastructure, but it means LLM Connect's systems can access message content where necessary to operate the Service (for example, to show it to the intended recipient, or to review content you or someone else has reported). This is not end-to-end encryption. See Security for details.

Video and audio in meetings travel directly between participants' browsers (peer-to-peer) wherever possible and are not routed through or stored on our servers. LLM Connect does not currently offer meeting recording or transcription — if that changes, this section and a dedicated policy will be updated first.

We may disclose message or account content where required by law, in response to a valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of LLM Connect, our users, or the public.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, or remove specific content, if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms, engaged in illegal activity, posed a security threat, or if we receive a valid court or government order requiring us to do so. Where practical, we'll tell you why. You can appeal a suspension or removal by contacting our Grievance Officer.

7. Service availability

LLM Connect is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Video/audio quality depends on your own device, browser, and network — on some restrictive networks, calls may not connect at all (see the technical note on WebRTC/TURN in our project documentation). LLM Connect is not designed or intended for emergency communications and should not be relied on to contact emergency services.

8. Limitation of liability

[Placeholder — have counsel draft the actual limitation-of-liability and exclusions clause appropriate for an Indian consumer service. Do not reuse a generic US-style clause without review; some liability cannot legally be excluded for Indian consumers, and the specific carve-outs need a lawyer's judgment.]

9. Indemnification

[Placeholder — have counsel draft.]

10. Governing law and disputes

[Placeholder — fill in: governing law (e.g. laws of India), courts with jurisdiction (e.g. courts of [City]), and whether disputes go through arbitration/mediation before litigation. This should be set by whoever operates this service, not assumed by default.] Nothing in this section limits any statutory right you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by agreement.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date, and — consistent with our obligations as an intermediary — will make reasonable efforts to inform you of material changes at least once a year.

12. Contact

Questions about these Terms: see our Contact page. Data-related complaints: our Grievance Officer.
